Close your eyes and think back to your childhood, when an uncle, aunt, neighbour or friend would spark your imagination by telling far-fetched stories that captured your attention. In a world where this tradition is becoming increasingly rare, the Rendez-vous des Grandes Gueules de Trois-Pistoles brings it vividly back to life. And for its 30th anniversary, the festival promises nine days celebrating words, stories, music and imagination.

From October 3 to 11, 2026, around fifty spoken-word artists will take over stages in Trois-Pistoles and several locations throughout the Bas-Saint-Laurent. In total: 41 shows and a host of activities for all tastes.

At the heart of the festival, La Forge à Bérubé will be particularly lively, with 15 public performances.

Among the events not to be missed are Radio-Compost by David Marin, L’épopée migratoire, Ailleurs que nous by Elise Argouarc’h and Michel Faubert, the three parts of Rachid Bouali’s triptych, the Cabaret des forges, Stéphanie Pelletier’s Sortilèges et incantations! evening, the Veillée de la francophonie and the Grande veillée du conte.

And to crown this 30th edition, an exceptional evening awaits: Grands crus : vieillis 30 ans will bring together Joséphine Bacon, Jocelyn Bérubé, Mike Burns, Claudette L’Heureux and Joujou Turenne, accompanied by Carl Mayotte’s jazz trio.
