About

Discover contemporary art in the heart of the Bas-Saint-Laurent!

Caravansérail is a welcoming artist-run centre offering a diverse program of contemporary visual art exhibitions. It is a place for encounters and discovery, where the public can explore the work of emerging artists and artists from the Bas-Saint-Laurent, take part in experimental projects, and engage with artists during exhibition openings.

Caravansérail is located in Rimouski, within the Coopérative de solidarité Paradis, which brings together non profit organizations with a cultural mission.

Free admission

Caravansérail offers a year-round program of contemporary visual art exhibitions with free admission—an inspiring cultural option for visitors on a budget.

A cultural outing, rain or shine

When the weather in Rimouski turns unpredictable—rain, wind, or extreme cold—Caravansérail provides an inspiring alternative to outdoor activities. Sheltered from the elements, visitors are invited to take their time discovering contemporary art and to be surprised by the exhibitions.

Let our team guide you through the exhibition

Understanding the nuances of an artist’s work or the world of contemporary art is not always easy. No worries—our team will be happy to accompany you on a guided tour of the exhibition and answer your questions.
