Saint-Onésime-d'Ixworth is located at the very west end of the Bas Saint-Laurent territory and is therefore the gateway to Bas-St-Laurent, Kamouraska and the Haut-Pays de Kamouraska.

Nestled peacefully between river and forest, Saint-Onésime-d'Ixworth offers fabulous landscapes and sunsets. A stopover at the corner of the route Drapeau Nord and the Chemin du Vide will offer you an impressive panorama on the Saint-Laurence River, the mountains of Charlevoix and the surrounding villages.

The municipality is also a dream destination for outdoor enthusiasts, hunters and fishing lovers, thanks to its numerous rivers, lakes and mixed forests that the municipality offers.

The «Sentiers d'Ixworth» (Ixworth Trails) offer free access to an exceptional public forest, which stands out for the presence of a large deer natural ravage , a superb salmon river and the emblematic Ixworth waterfall on the Sainte-Anne River. The site is accessible all year round and offers marked trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Overlooking the Rivière-Ouelle, the Pont du Collège is the only accessible covered bridge in the region. The Parc des Souvenances right next to the bridge offers a rest area, with a picnic table and interpretation panels.

The intergenerational park “Du plus Petit au plus Grand” is located in the heart of the village and will delight the whole family with its modules, its sandbox, its outdoor board, its pétanque court and its multiple rest areas.

Saint-Onésime-d'Ixworth worth the detour ! Come and discover this natural beauty .
