Saint-Athanase is all about showcasing the beauty of its natural environment. The chute à l’Orignal and Mount Thompson, located in the maple groves of the Rivière Noire Valley, are accessible on foot. A multifunctional trail – quad, bicycle, hiking – leads to the lookout of one of the highest peaks – 630 metres! – of the Témiscouata area, while a 4-kilometer loop trail gives access to the Lac aux Canards.
