What to do in June in the Bas-Saint-Laurent
Writing
Laura Martin, she shares her crushes and discoveries with us for our greatest happiness!
The sun is shining, but it’s not quite warm enough to work up a sweat yet. In June, we slip on our sandals and kick off festival season! Whether you prefer music, stallions or big trucks, everyone will find something to enjoy in the region.
Western Festival of Trois-Pistoles
From June 5 to 7, 2026
In its first edition in 2025, this event was a huge hit. The cowboys are taking over the town again, with even bigger ambitions.
Of course, you’ll see high-level equestrian competitions, but also performances by artists who showcase the genre’s renewal, like Sara Dufour and Rick Duff.
Even families who aren’t keen on leather hats and fringe will find something to enjoy, with food trucks, carnival games, a small farm and magic acts. It’s going to be lively in 3P!
Take the opportunity to:
- Fall asleep to the sound of waves at Camping plage Trois-Pistoles
- Stock up on gourmet treats at La Fromagerie des Basques
Musique Fest Premier Tech, Rivière-du-Loup
From June 11 to 13, 2026
In 2025, more than 13,000 people stomped through the parking lot of the Premier Tech Center. This festival kicks off the summer season in a big way, with capital letters, decibels and crowds.
Even if the evenings are still a bit chilly in mid-June, it won’t take long to warm up at this 4th edition, as Roxane Bruneau, Matt Lang and Simple Plan light up the stage as headliners.
Come on, grab your fleece and jump with your hands in the air. I’m just a kid, and life is a nightmare…!
Take the opportunity to:
- Enjoy a local brew at Aux Fous brassant microbrewery
- Take in some forest bathing (before the crowd bathing) at Parc des Chutes
Saint-Antonin Country Festival
From June 25 to 28, 2026
The Saint-Antonin festival is no stranger to the rodeo scene. With 17 editions under its belt, the organization runs like a well-oiled machine, attracting more than 35,000 cowboys and cowgirls into its grounds.
In addition to its high-level riding and lasso competitions, the event is also known for its epic dance nights, its country mass and its big parade on Main Street.
This year, things kick off in a big way with a performance by Francis Degrandpré under the big top. Get your western boots out of the box… they’re going to hit hard.
Take the opportunity to:
- Grab a slice (or eight) at Pizzéria des Battures
- Recharge at Camping Chez Jean
La Grande Virée of Saint-Jean-de-Dieu
From June 25 to July 2, 2026
The 37th edition of this festival promises to be vibrant and loud. The provincial 4×4 pulling competition attracts enthusiasts from all over.
If big trucks don’t do anything for you, you can always fall back on the music shows under the big top.
Country, DJ and singer-songwriter nights are on the program. Plus, they’re giving away a pickup truck…
Take the opportunity to:
- Stop by Hydromellerie Saint-Paul-de-la-Croix
- Grab a sundae at Crèmerie du Potager
