After cycling, it's time for bed

Writing
Laura Martin, she shares her crushes and discoveries with us for our greatest happiness!
After miles of pedaling, climbing, sweating and maybe even a bit of grumbling (a lot in my case), there’s nothing quite like falling – literally – into a soft bed.
The Bas-Saint-Laurent region is full of perfect rest stops where you can recharge your batteries – and those of your bike – and forget about the existence of every muscle in your body for a few hours. Your biggest challenge will be getting back in the saddle in the wee hours of the morning, with bruised thighs! I sympathize.
La P’tite étape
Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac

In this 5-bedroom family-run B&B, which has Bienvenue cyclistes certification, you can not only rest your own gear, but also carry out maintenance on your mount.
Located directly on the Petit Témis interprovincial trail, with a view of Lake Témiscouata, the B&B operates its own bike repair shop. Need an Allen wrench?
It’s open seven days a week. It’ll be even easier to get back to Morpheus knowing that your other half on two wheels is sleeping in a secure garage. What more could you ask for? Breakfast? We offer that too.
La Maison de Jean-Baptiste
Saint-Denis-De La Bouteillerie

Also a member of the Bienvenue cyclistes network, this inn is housed in a former presbytery more than a century old.
Its charm lies not only in its patrimonial cachet, but also in the small attentions paid to sports enthusiasts who stop here on their way along the Route verte: pumps and tools for minor repairs, locked space for bicycles, drying solutions for soggy clothes, etc.
Its café area offers a healthy menu for cyclists of all ages. Its café area offers a healthy lunch menu, which will give you wings for the rest of the route.
Camping du Parc national du Bic
Rimouski

Do you like to ride without a plan, pushed by the wind, without planning every detail of your adventure?
This popular summer campsite offers a few unreserved sites for cyclists. Rain or shine, all you have to do is pitch your tent and relax. Are your tires as soft as your willpower at the end of the day?
You can inflate them on site. But as for your willpower, you’ll need a good night’s sleep to recharge it.
Auberge internationale
de Rivière-du-Loup

Do you have burning calves but still have the energy to socialize?
This cozy inn is a two-minute walk from downtown (4, if your legs are dead), so you can stroll along rue Lafontaine, with its restaurants, microbreweries and free shows, until your fatigue catches up with you.
Breakfast and bike storage are included. You’ll sleep like a log and maybe even meet some friends to boost your peloton.
La Libertad
Trois-Pistoles

It’s amazing how a simple name in Spanish can conjure up images of relaxation and a change of scenery. Located not in Cayo Coco but in Trois-Pistoles, this small 21-room hotel is the ideal stop-off point between Rivière-du-Loup and Rimouski.
You’ll have access to a kitchen, bike parking and a separate entrance with electronic lock, so you can arrive whenever you like (or whenever your calves feel like it). Now that’s freedom!
