According to the tides. Guided tour needed. Average visit: 3 hours.

Inhabited by aboriginal peoples 2000 years ago and visited by Basque fishermen as early as 1584, the Île aux Basques has been owned by Société Provancher since 1929.

Lying five kilometres offshore, this important national historical site still holds sixteenth-century Basque ovens and is also a migratory bird sanctuary. Discover its many attractions on a day-trip (guided tour mandatory) or an overnight stay in one of the rustic cabins. Two kilometres of trails.

No pets allowed.
