Saint-Onésime-d’Ixworth is located to the far west of the Bas-Laurentian territory and is therefore the gateway to Bas-St-Laurent, Kamouraska and the Haut-Pays de Kamouraska.

Nestled peacefully between river and forest, Saint-Onésime-d’Ixworth offers fabulous landscapes and sunsets. A stopover at the corner of the Drapeau Nord road and the Chemin du Vide will offer you an impressive panorama of the river, the Charlevoix mountains and the surrounding villages.

The municipality is also a dream destination for amateurs outdoor, hunting and fishing; We are rich in natural beauty with the two falls, the four rivers that crisscross the territory and our mixed forests as far as the eye can see.

The Ixworth Trails offer free access to an exceptional public forest, which stands out for the presence of a significant deer raid, a superb salmon river and the emblematic waterfall. ‘Ixworth on the Sainte-Anne River. The site is accessible all year round and offers marked trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Overlooking the Rivière-Ouelle, the Pont du Collège is the flagship of the municipality and the only covered bridge in all of Kamouraska. The Parc des Souvenances offers a rest area nearby, with picnic tables and interpretation panels.

The intergenerational park “From the Smallest to the Largest” is located in the heart of the village and will delight the whole family with its play modules, its sand square, its outdoor table, its pétanque court and its relaxation areas.
