The municipality of Rivière-Bleue has so many stories to tell. Its strategic location at the intersection of the borders of Québec, New Brunswick and the United States made it the scene of many illegal activities during Prohibition.
But Rivière-Bleue isn't shy about its dark secrets from the 1920s as well as railroad history, which played a major role in the development of the region. The Festival du Bootlegger celebrates the stories of the Prohibition era. Visitors will also enjoy the beautiful natural setting with many small lakes and rivers, a nature hike, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and several tours highlighting the area's history and architectural heritage. Hunting and fishing enthusiasts are also invited to explore this bountiful land.
