Welcome to Rivière-du-Loup, in a part of the Lower St. Lawrence region where nature takes center stage, and where cycling becomes a true means of connecting with the land. A brand-new trail
that skirts the beauty

In Notre-Dame-du-Portage, one of last summer’s summer novelties is already catching the eye: the Sentier du Portage, a 7 km multifunctional trail, perfect for hybrid or recreational mountain biking.

Accessible from the village, the trail winds through mature forests, rocky ridges, wetlands and views of the St. Lawrence River. It’s the kind of trail that makes you want to slow down, stop and admire.

The well-designed trail offers a fluid, safe and natural experience. No traffic, no pressure. Just you, your bike and the stunning scenery.

On their private, wilderness territory, you can experience guided mountain bike expeditions, from beginner to advanced levels, including stops in the wilderness. Every Thursday evening, starting at 6:30 p.m., you and your gang can join us at the start on Gilles Street in Rivière-du-Loup.

The terrain is vast, varied and adapted to different formulas: technical routes, loop trails, progressive climbs… with, always, professional and passionate accompaniment.

An experience for cyclists of all levels

What makes these places so accessible is the attention paid to each type of visitor. The Sentier du Portage is ideal for a family outing, a contemplative getaway or a warm-up before a bigger challenge. While Club La Meute offers tailor-made microadventures, perfect for discovering cycling in nature, or pushing your limits in complete safety.

And you don’t have to be an outdoor expert to enjoy them: the team is there to guide you, advise you and pass on their passion for the territory.

Pedal to something bigger

Cycling in the Rivière-du-Loup region is much more than a workout or a ride: it’s a complete sensory experience.

It’s riding while smelling the evergreens, hearing the birds sing, coming across a deer around a bend. It’s about slowing down. Taking time. Reconnecting.

And it’s also about rediscovering a region in a different way, along less-traveled paths, in a natural setting of rare beauty.
