That’s it. You can feel it—winter is coming. You can see it in the few leaves still on the trees, the migrating geese, and the strength of the north wind.
What better way to prepare for the cold than to warm up by browsing the Christmas markets? Luckily, there are a few right here in Kamouraska.
Sainte-Hélène-de-Kamouraska Advent Market
Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
531 Rue de l’Église, Sainte-Hélène-de-Kamouraska
The first Christmas market of the season, the Sainte-Hélène-de-Kamouraska Advent Market welcomes nearly 25 exhibitors.
You’ll find ceramic bowls, plates, and mugs, all kinds of jewelry, Christmas tree ornaments and decorations made from recycled or natural materials, as well as body butters, candles, and hand-knitted hats.
Of course, there will be Christmas carols, both classic and contemporary. In addition to exploring the stalls in search of treasures, children can have their faces painted for free.
The food counters will offer candy, pastries, chocolates, and jujubes, as well as terrines and meat cuts.
If you’re hungry, Johnny Moutarde will be happy to satisfy your immediate needs.
La Pocatière Christmas Market
Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière Cathedral, 203 4e Avenue Painchaud, La Pocatière
The La Pocatière Christmas Market is a must-see event, featuring 70 exhibitors selected for the quality and originality of their products, gathered in the magical setting of La Pocatière Cathedral.
It showcases artists, artisans, and producers from Kamouraska, as well as from the L’Islet region and Rivière-du-Loup, under the theme “A Christmas in the Heart of the Region.”
It brings together 70 exhibitors selected for the quality and originality of their products.
Did you know? The market is organizing a contest on its Facebook page (starting November 24). Participate for a chance to win local products.
Do a good deed: profits from the La Pocatière Christmas Market will be donated to the André-Côté Foundation, which supports people with cancer and their loved ones.
Saint-Alexandre Christmas Market
Sunday, November 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Municipal complex, 629 Route 289, Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska
As is tradition, the Saint-Alexandre Christmas Market heralds the arrival of December. Come discover a variety of products from some fifty producers and artisans from Saint-Alexandre, Kamouraska, Témiscouata, and Basques in a joyful atmosphere.
You can also meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus in person! They will be walking around the market handing out candy and chocolates. Have you been good enough this year to receive some?
Christmas market and open house at Rebond
Sunday, November 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rebond, the multidisciplinary center

Three for one in Saint-Germain-de-Kamouraska: rock climbing, circus arts, and ceramics.
The open house at Rebond is combined with a small Christmas market featuring 100% ceramics at Sacré Atelier. Six artists, some from here, others from the Laurentians, Montérégie, or Quebec City, will present their functional and decorative pieces.

Saint-Pascal Christmas Market
Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Place de l’Expo, 700 Taché Street, Saint-Pascal
The second largest Christmas market in Kamouraska, the Saint-Pascal Christmas Market brings together some 50 exhibitors eager to offer you local and extra-local products.
This year, it will be held both inside and outside the Expo building. You’ll find everything you need for your holiday gifts, from sweet and savory local products to original creations and handmade items.
Mulled wine and gourmet bistro fare await you.
Grand Christmas Parade in Saint-Philippe-de-Néri
Saturday, December 13, from 6 p.m.
Through the streets of Saint-Philippe-de-Néri
For the first time ever, Santa Claus is visiting the village of Saint-Philippe. He will be escorted by mascots and, more importantly, by fifteen allegorical floats.
Don’t miss the parade. You’ll hear it coming as it winds its way through the town to the lively beat of a percussion band.
Santa Claus will hand out bags of candy to spectators, but only to those who have been good…
The evening will end with a festive party in the style of yesteryear: a special buffet, traditional music, and sing-alongs with the group Baragwin.
Dance and buffet starting at 8 p.m.
