Bike Ride – All Day Saturday
To make the most of your day, set out to explore Témiscouata by bike. The region offers a variety of routes that let you explore its landscapes along lakes, rivers, and through the forest. There are two options available, depending on your preferences and skill level.
For cyclists looking for a challenge, the Témiscouata cyclosportive circuit offers a route of about 70 kilometers with significant elevation gain. With winding climbs and descents, this route partly follows the old Route 185, which is much quieter today since the opening of Highway 85. The route traverses a rich natural landscape where panoramic views unfold one after another, allowing you to fully enjoy the scenery.
For a more accessible outing, the Petit Témis Interprovincial Linear Park, in its Témiscouata section, is ideal for families and cyclists looking for a peaceful ride. Built on a former railway line, this 37-km gravel path offers a safe and well-equipped route, dotted with rest areas, “Bienvenue cyclistes” stops, and service points.
For a change of pace, you can combine your trip with the Épinoche water shuttle and the Le Corégone ferry to create a loop of about 23 kilometers around Lake Témiscouata. Be sure to book your ferry crossings in advance.
Along the route, there are several attractions, restaurants, and rest stops where you can take breaks and make the most of your day. To plan your itinerary and discover the must-see stops, check out our interactive cycling map available on our website.
