Have you ever dreamed of conquering the top of a frozen waterfall ?
The climbing cooperative Riki Bloc offers you to take up this challenge this winter in downtown Rivière-du-Loup!

With heights exceeding 40 metres, the site lends itself marvelously well to the discovery of ice climbing. Whether you are looking for a sporting challenge, a change of scenery or a pleasant activity to do with your family, our FQME-accredited guides will be able to offer you a safe and playful supervision for the pleasure of all.

Discover Ice Climbing

Come discover ice climbing on gigantic frozen waterfalls!

Located downtown Rivière-du-Loup, the Parc des Chutes offers nearly 150 metres of frozen waterfalls with heights exceeding 40 metres! The ideal place to take your first steps on ice with friends or family. Time is optimized to allow participants the opportunity for several climbs.

The climbing equipment is included. One of our guides will be supervising to ensure that you can enjoy this 3 and 1/2 hour activity safely!

Introduction to Ice Climbing

Learn the basic techniques of ice climbing!

In this 5 and 1/2 hour course, given at the Parc des Chutes in Rivière-du-Loup, a guide introduces you to the basic principles of ice climbing. The introduction includes the presentation and use of personal protective equipment, the figure-eight rope knot, belay techniques and basic ice climbing techniques (handling of crampons, ice axes and ice reading). The perfect course to demistify ice climbing!

The climbing equipment is included.
