Have you ever dreamed of conquering the top of an ice waterfall? The Riki Bloc climbing cooperative invites you to take on this challenge this winter, in the heart of downtown Rivière-du-Loup!

With a height exceeding 40 meters, the site lends itself wonderfully to discovering ice climbing in a magnificent setting. Whether you are looking for sporting challenges, a change of scenery or a pleasant activity to do with the family, our guides accredited by the FQME will be able to offer you safe and fun supervision for the pleasure of all.

Discover ice climbing on immense frozen waterfalls!

Located in the city center of Rivière-du-Loup, the Parc des Chutes offers nearly 150 meters of frozen walls to a height exceeding 40 meters! The perfect place to take your first steps on the ice with friends or family. Thrill-seekers will be served because this activity leaves maximum room to try their hand at challenges on the ice.

Introductory course

Learn the basic techniques in ice climbing!

In this 5.5 hour course given at the Parc des Chutes de Rivière-du-Loup, a guide introduces you to the basic principles of safe ice climbing. The material covered includes the presentation and use of personal protective equipment, the figure-eight knot, belaying technique and basic gestures (handling crampons, ice axes and reading the ice). The perfect course to demystify ice climbing! All the climbing equipment necessary for the activity is included.
