Information

The College Bridge was built in 1919, replacing at the time the bridge which had accidentally burned down. The emblem of Sait-Onésime-d'Ixworth therefore celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020 and is still at this time, an appreciate place for meetings and rest time.

Major renovations were made in 2008, ensuring the survival of the only covered bridge remaining on the territory of the MRC de Kamouraska.

It proudly overlooks the Rivière-Ouelle with its 25 meters in length and has been recognized as a historical monument since 2002. The Pont du Collège offers visitors a superb view of the salmon river and the College Falls.

The Parc des Souvenances was developed near the bridge and the Ouelle River and offers rest areas and a series of interpretation panels.

If you are visiting during the summer, ask about the planned activities: Pont-Couvert market, open-air cinema, cultural activities, shows and more!
