Municipalité de Saint-Jean-de-la-Lande

810, rue Principale, Saint-Jean-de-la-Lande, Québec G0L 3N0

About

The municipality is located between Dégelis and the New Brunswick border, connecting the Route des Frontières – route 289 – and Highway 85, where the word nature takes on its full meaning. On the territory, you will discover two large lakes: Lake Baker and Lake Méruimticook, known as “Lac Jerry”. The latter has a landing stage accessible to boats and is surrounded by a cycle path punctuated with rest stops.

It is also in this municipality that you will find the last covered bridge of Témiscouata, the bridge Romain-Caron, Town type, built in 1940. A garden of the Celestial Gardens circuit located next to the bridge highlights it and has the theme of the earth with its hemispheres, its days, its seasons and its continents. Member of the Culture and Heritage circuit of the Route des Frontières.
