About

Mont-Carmel is the largest municipality in Kamouraska with its 435 square kilometers. It is located on the side of a mountain in a natural setting with striking panoramas of the Kamouraska and the St. Lawrence River.

Less than 5 kilometers from the highway, its territory dotted with numerous lakes is extends to the border of the United States. The Jean-Claude-Plourde municipal park welcomes you with its catering service, an outdoor stage for shows and a heated swimming pool.

Nature lovers will be delighted by numerous activities: quad biking , snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and hiking. Relaxation and swimming are also possible at the Lac de l’Est beach, 13 kilometers long. Culture is also blended with nature at the Cultural Trail and the Giant Chairs Circuit.
