Some 3,000 species and varieties of plants, including the famous Himalayan blue poppy, are spread across around fifteen gardens. In Villa Estevan, a permanent exhibition recounts the stays of the family of Elsie Reford, creator of the gardens from 1926 to 1958. We also find on the tour, the vegetable garden and the gardener’s tools museum. Discover the edible plants and herbs that inspire the chef of the Villa Estevan Restaurant. The ÈRE 132 house offers a journey of knowledge and sources of inspiration in eco-construction. Best known for her gardens, she also had many other interests, ranging from politics to women’s health, from a love of art to international affairs. Her involvement in politics and public debates led her to meet many personalities of the time. For the first time, new facets of this exceptional woman will be revealed to you through photographs, objects and testimonies. To fully enjoy your visit, you are invited to the Villa Estevan restaurant. Chef Pierre-Olivier Ferry offers you a menu with the flavors and colors of the Gardens. And of course, the region’s star products carefully selected by our producers. Every morning, the Villa’s garden inspires the chef, who works to prepare meals. It is therefore not uncommon to come across him and see him picking what will then end up on your plate. A la carte lunch menu, theme evenings and Sunday brunch. From June, the International Garden Festival presents contemporary gardens designed by landscape architects, architects and artists from around the world.
