The trail starts at Chute Neigette, a waterfall over 100 feet high located in the municipality of Saint-Anaclet, and ends at the Parc du Mont-Comi in Saint-Donat, featuring Mont Comi, one of the tallest mountains in the area at 575 metres (1,886 feet). Highlights of the trail include the Neigette river, the footbridge overlooking the Neigette waterfall, a covered bridge, the well-preserved ruins of a lime kiln, incomparable views over the river valley all along the trail and a hilly landscape dominated by Mont Comi.
There are two parking areas with access to the trail:
At the Neigette waterfall, the parking lot is located on Route du Fourneau-à-Chaux, about 1.5 kilometres (0.8 miles) south of Rang Neigette.
From Saint-Anaclet, take Route Neigette (west of the church on Rue Principale) toward the south. Travel to the end of Route Neigette and turn left at the T-junction onto Rang Neigette, going east. After about 2 kilometres (1.25 miles), turn right onto Route du Fourneau-à-Chaux.
At Parc du Mont-Comi, from Saint-Donat, head south on Route 298. After about 6 kilometres (3.7 miles), turn right onto Chemin du Plateau, which leads to the ski resort. Follow this road to the ski lodge, where the parking lot is shared with that of the National Hiking Trail.
