The territory of the Malécite de Viger First Nation is the smallest native territory in Canada. The building embodies the story of the survival of the Malécite people. The site of debates and negotiations, this modest house sheltered the last Malecite who lived on this Reserve. This is where Chief Joseph Launière and his wife Mina raised their four children.
